Afyon Kocatepe University Ahmet Necdet Sezer Research and Practice Hospital began serving activities on 18/10/1999. Today, Ali Cetinkaya Campus of the hospital, serves a total of 380 clinical beds, 58 operating room and 20 intensive care beds. Outpatient hospital and clinic services offered are as follows: Emergency Department, Anesthesia, Family Medicine, Neurosurgery, Nutrition and Dietetics, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Dental Clinic, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Chest diseases, Eye Diseases, Infection, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, Ear Nose & Throat, Heart and Vascular Surgery, Nephrology, Neurology, Nuclear Medicine, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry, Urology, Neonatal unit. Nuclear Medicine and Dentistry give service at Pembe Hospital and the other clinical and outpatient services are at Ali Çetinkaya Campus.


At the end of 2003, the unit commenced its services in 100 square meters area and in 2005, the unit moved in its own place as 600 square meters. It started giving service with 14 emergency and 7 children emergency observation bed. This unit has a capacity of 60 patients when there is a disaster like earthquake.


When the hospital was founded at Ali Çetinkaya Campus, there was 3 surgery but now it increased 20. Now the number of operations per day 30-35 and relasing it to 40-45, physical and technical strengthening of the structure is in progress. In our hospital arthroscopic surgery and laser applications, endoscopy and ERCP, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Phaco cataract surgery, laparoscopic surgery, open heart surgery and so many surgeries are performed with the advanced technique and skill. In 2009, approximately 5000 surgical interventions were made.
